What's included

Mulching done the Lookin' Goode way.

Mulch is one of the highest-impact things you can do for your beds — it holds moisture, suppresses weeds, and ties the whole yard together visually. We don't just dump a bag on top of old stuff. We re-edge the bed lines, pull back any debris, and lay a clean two-inch layer of fresh hardwood mulch across every bed. The difference is obvious same day.

  • Bed re-edging for clean, defined lines
  • Removal of old, compacted, or weedy mulch
  • Fresh hardwood mulch installed at proper depth
  • Mulch kept back from plant crowns and tree bases
  • Weed barrier installation available on request

Common Questions

Common questions about mulching.

How often should I refresh mulch in Huntsville?
Once a year, usually March through May before summer heat. Hardwood mulch breaks down and fades after 10 to 12 months. A fresh two-inch layer keeps weeds down and beds looking sharp.
What type of mulch do you use?
Double-shredded hardwood mulch — holds color, suppresses weeds, and breaks down slowly enough to amend soil over time. We keep it two inches deep and pulled back from plant crowns and tree trunks.
Do you edge beds as part of mulching?
Yes. Clean bed edges are included. We re-cut the line, pull weeds, remove compacted old mulch if needed, then lay fresh material. The difference is obvious the same day.
How much mulch do I need for my beds?
We measure on-site during your free quote. Most Huntsville homes need 2 to 6 cubic yards depending on bed size. Large Harvest and Meridianville properties can run much higher — we bring volume, not bags.
